Threat Of Movie Piracy And Why it is damaging to the movie industry

Stealing something is never ok and movie piracy is been damaging the movie industry ever since movies were ever even digitalized. According to Forbes, quote a total of 70 million people are legally viewing pirated movies Today. That equates to the loss around 70 million dollars in ticket sales. That is a huge loss in revenue that movie studios need to make. The loss of these ticket sales personally hurt the loss of revenue that these actors and directors really need to survive in the world today. Why do people prefer illegal viewing rather then going to see a theater to see the movie? Is there anyway to stop this? Will this forever be a problem in today’s society?

Simply illegal viewing is way to cut costs on spending money to go see a movie, The harsh reality is that simple movie watching in a theater has simply become impossible to do. Simple cost of seeing a movie is simply way too high and people simply can’t justify spending money on a movie when they can sit at home and watch it for free with no money attached at all. Movie piracy sites have simply grown to powerful online with the idea of people not wanting to spend money on snacks at the movies or on movie tickets.

The Harsh reality is that this sense of movie piracy will never truly go away and in months movie piracy can be come a even bigger problem. Some movies recently decided to switch to the model of online and in person so the sense of both worlds can be seen.

evidence of movie piracy affecting movie industry has been seen with the third expendables movie which according to forbes the third movie lost about 100 million dollars of potential profit evening furthering the movies painfully decline.
